The Assessment and Audit Team serves public education by compiling and evaluating information that enables stakeholders to make informed decisions.
Assessment and Audit Services oversees administration of the State assessment (TAAS/TAKS), as well as other tests given throughout the District, such as the OLSAT, DAT, and Gates-MacGinitie. We also provide scanning, scoring, analysis, and reporting services for a multitude of locally developed benchmark and short cycle assessments. We conduct District-wide surveys on a variety of topics, and screen and approve all research requests that are submitted to the District. In our internal audit capacity, we provide independent review and appraisal services for District management and the Board of Trustees.
Round Rock ISD is a data-driven District, and the job of Assessment and Audit Services is to ensure that accurate, timely, and relevant data is available to measure student achievement, educational program effectiveness, and District-wide operational efficiency.
