Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weekdays, (except for District holidays). The Distribution Center warehouse provides the District with approximately 30,000 square feet of multi-use racked and floor-storage space which is used for:

-
Rack space for Central Kitchen, Textbooks, Print / Media Services, Assessment / Research, and Fixed Assets |

The full-time Distribution Staff of 11 personnel and 5 vehicles makes over 15,000 routine deliveries a year in addition to responding to numerous special requests for surplus pickup/furniture delivery, and the delivery of housekeeping supplies and pickup of recycled materials. View our delivery schedule. The District’s central Receiving is also located in Distribution. All fixed assets and other items requiring District inventory tags are received and processed through Central Receiving.
The Distribution Center and Purchasing continually review the District’s inventory, and its usage history, to ensure that the correct mix of items is stocked in the Warehouse. A combination of factors are used in determining which items should be stocked as inventory, including: the particular needs of schools/departments, product availability, volume pricing, and warehouse space allocation. Since there is limited warehousing space available, other supply options must also be considered such as “just-in-time” vendor delivery capabilities (e.g., Staples) or supply agreements, which require vendors to supply local stock or acceptable delivery alternatives.
Those items selected for inventory are consolidated into large annual bid packages and the Purchasing Office fulfills the bidding requirements for the district for these items on an annual basis. Schools/departments are then relieved of this responsibility and they receive the benefit of volume pricing and the immediate availability of the inventoried items. Recycling
In an effort to reduce waste and protect our world's natural resources, RRISD recycles various items that include paper, metal, pallets, toner cartridges and aluminum cans. With Round Rock ISD's commitment to recycling, the need for precious resources like water, trees and landfill space is continually being reduced. Learn more about our recycling efforts.
Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) Disposal
We coordinate hazardous material pickups for campuses in an effort to dispose of them properly. Fill out our HAZMAT Form and forward it to Distribution Services. Also, submit a work order to Distribution for the pickup of the materials. Once a sufficient quantity of HAZMAT is accumulated, a pickup date will be scheduled. All HAZMAT is picked up by a contractor at the campus or department location.
