A Federally Funded Free & Reduced Lunch program application is based on income and size of family. Based on the information received, your child may qualify for free or a reduced priced meals.
Where do I get an application?
You may request an application from the campus office, cafeteria manager or come by Food Service's office at 16255 Great Oaks Drive, Suite 100.
How long does it take to find out if my child qualifies and how will I find out?
It takes up to 10 days to process an application. You will be mailed a letter stating the outcome of your application. The cafeteria will be automatically notified.
Do I need a separate application for each child?
No, you can list all school age children on the same application. However, if you have foster children you will need a separate application for each one.
Do I need to re-apply every year?
Yes, a new application must be completed each school year. Students with approved applications on file from the previous school year will receive the same free or reduced-price meal benefits for the first 30 days of school. After that, any family who has not submitted a new application will have meal benefits terminated.
Will my eligibility status transfer from another school district?
No, you will need to fill out another application.

How can I pay for my child's meals?
You may pay for your child's meals by sending cash or check to the cafeteria, pay online via PAMS Lunchroom or pay over the phone using PAMS Lunchroom. If paying by check, please make it payable to RRISD Food Services and please be sure to add your child's name and school ID number to the memo line on your check.
How do I create an account for my child?
All children within the Round Rock school district are assigned a six digit student ID number. This number is used in the cafeteria. Your child will automatically have an account that you may place money in to be used for meals or you may send money each day with your child.
What is PAMS Lunchroom?
PAMS Lunchroom is a third party website that allows parents to pay for their child's meals via the internet or over the phone. You may pay by credit card, debit card, PayPal or draft from your checking account. Visit www.paypams.com or call 1-888-994-5100. You will need your child's student ID number. For payment by phone, you will also need the District ID #78681.
How long will my payment take to post to my child's account?
It depends on the type of payment. Cash and checks are posted when the cafeteria manager receives the payment. If you make a payment through PAMS Luncheon, it takes one to two school days for a payment to replenish your child's account at the school cafeteria. Your balance on the PayPAMS website will reflect your recent payment only after the school cafeteria confirms receipt of payment.
What information should I include on my check?
You will need to include your driver's license number, home phone number and child's student ID number.
What if my child does not have any lunch money?
Elementary Charges - After charging two regular meal lunches, students will be offered a sandwich and milk at .80 cents charge. Charges must be paid in full before a regular meal is offered. Notes will be sent home when a child reaches a low balance or negative balance. Your child may not incur more than a $6.50 debt. You may also use PAMS Lunchroom to set up an email reminder.
Secondary Charges - Students who have a low balance or a negative balance will be offered a sandwich and milk for lunch at .80 cents. No meals will be offered after 5 charges. Students will not be allowed to incur more than a $4.00 debt. All charges must be paid before a regular meal is offered.
Does the menu vary compared to the printed version?
The menu is subject to change. Generally the menu stays the same, however due to a shortage in supply or other reason, there may be a substitution.
May my child have juice instead of milk?
Yes, an assortment of 100% fruit juice is offered as a daily side option.
