By policy, the Purchasing Department of the District is responsible for all personal property, including furniture and equipment, declared to be surplus. Whenever an item of personal property is deemed to be obsolete or unfit for use, such personal property may be disposed of by the Purchasing Department in the most appropriate manner allowed for by policy. All items sold are to be considered "as is, where is". The District makes no warranties or guarantees of an item's ability to function as manufactured.
The following areas are currently being utilized for this purpose:
The Purchasing Department maintains a fixed price outlet for items appropriate for sale to the public. These items are usually electronics, furniture, miscellaneous use, etc. Information on the Surplus Store.
As necessary, the District will be auctioning items through a third party auction company to the public. You do not have to register to view what is available, and there is no charge for registering to submit a bid. Online Auction website
