The District's waste service contract with Central Texas Refuse includes recycling for every facility. Now they have partnered with WILCO Recycling to provide single stream recycling.
The RRISD Single Stream Recycling program débuted in August 2012, since then, all campuses have signed up to participate. In single stream recycling all recyclable materials like paper, steel, plastic, and aluminum are mixed together in the same bin and collected by a garbage truck.* We no longer need to sort through these anymore as they will be separated at the new WILCO Recycling Facility.
