Outgoing U.S. Mail
Place outgoing mail into an inter-campus envelope and address it to “Distribution Center – Mail Room”. Any U.S. mail items sent in on the morning pick-up should arrive at Distribution by noon. Distribution ensures that U.S. mail items are processed that day and sent to the U.S. Post Office by 4:45 p.m. Any U.S. mail items generated by campuses during the day are picked up the following morning with the inter-campus mail.
Also, remember to put your department number on the upper left side, so that we know which account to charge for your postage. Write your departments number on the first piece and rubber band it together, or box it with your department number on top. XXX-1 will be used for Instructional, while XXX-2 is for any Administrative. You may hand deliver time sensitive mail to the Distribution Center. Be sure mail arrives no later than 3:00 p.m. for processing that day.
Bulk Rate Postage
For quantities over 200, you may choose bulk rate postage. Just keep in mind you have to sort mail by zip codes, and take it to the main Post Office with a blank check for the best rate. For information on bulk rate postage call Becky Diaz at 464-6964.UPS Shipments
We can no longer provide shipping services via UPS. Our newest mail machine no longer has these capabilities. You may, however, set up an account online at
UPS. This will allow you to print shipping labels from your campus. Calling UPS for a pick-up, will result in a $4 per box charge. A UPS driver will pick up boxes (with a pre-paid shipping label on them) while he/she is delivering to your campus. Also your box can be dropped off at any UPS store free of charge. As an alternative, you can send your box through intercampus mail, to distribution. We have daily UPS pick up, so your box will go out when ours does.
