Pride and school spirit rings through the halls of Deepark Middle School as the campus has recently revealed its new logo and mascot uniform.
Updated with a new logo, the website for Deerpark distinctly exhibits staff and student pride. The modernized logo portrays a bold black “D” in the center of a sharp and commanding red star. The school is currently working on updating campus signage.
“Our branding goal is to visually represent the hearts and minds of our students and staff,” said Jonathan Smith, Deerpark principal. “The new look of the Deerpark logo and addition of the Rowdy Ranger mascot costume symbolizes the start of a new frontier while honoring our past,”
Home to 900 students in grades 6-8, Deerpark students are known as the Rangers. A mascot that has recently taken on new life with an update in uniform.
Local business TumblePro helped Deerpark bring the Ranger to life by donating $1,700 to the school for a mascot costume. The Ranger mascot, named “Rowdy,” brings authenticity to the school’s brand helping create further excitement within the community.
“The partnership with Deerpark happened organically when their cheer athletes started taking TumblePro tumbling classes,” said Chase Fowler, TumblePro co-owner. “We are proud to make this contribution and help the cheer team promote school pride within our community.”
Rowdy Ranger is set to make his first public appearance at the September 24 5K Ranger Run.
