Round Rock ISD student-athletes went into the holiday week thankful for more opportunities to compete in the UIL state championship tournament. The Dragons advanced, the Raiders capped their historic season, and the Tigers fell.
Dragon Playoff Tickets available on November 23
The Round Rock High School football team advanced to the state playoffs, squaring off with the Coppel High School Cowboys in the regional quarterfinals. The Dragons will play Saturday, November 26, 2 p.m. at Waco ISD Stadium.

There is also a $5 parking fee at the game.
Dragons slay Panthers to advance
Round Rock’s do-everything quarterback [Mark Reed] accounted for 413 yards and four passing touchdowns the Dragons downed Klein Oak 39-22 in a Class 6A Division I area playoff game. Playing at Merrill Green Stadium in Bryan on a chilly Saturday afternoon, the Dragons clinched their first trip to the third round of the UIL postseason since 2007. – Round Rock Leader
Raiders end historic season in thriller
Cedar Ridge finished its undefeated season with a thriller against Klein Collins High School on November 26, scoring 28 fourth-quarter points to send the game to overtime. The Raiders lost 40-34 in the extra period, capping their first undefeated season and their first outright district championship.
Stony Point falls in 2nd round
The Tigers crept into the playoffs, broke through the first round against San Marcos High School, and finally fell to Westfield High School with a score of 24-0.
