Good evening, Forest Creek families,

This is a reminder that our 5th grade students will take the RLA STAAR test tomorrow.

To help your child feel confident and ready, please make sure they get a good night’s rest tonight, eat a healthy breakfast in the morning, and come to school with a water bottle and extra snacks. We also ask that our 5th grade families please refrain from joining students for lunch tomorrow so we can maintain a calm and focused testing environment for everyone.

We are incredibly proud of our students and the growth they have shown throughout this year. They are prepared, and we are ready to rock tomorrow.

Austin Chamber Music Center’s Summer Workshop (July 13–25) offers chamber music coaching for young musicians (ages 7–18). Early Bird pricing ends April 3, 2026, and need-based scholarships are available. Today’s Early Learning Day was a success! We loved welcoming our families and future students to campus. Our fifth grade leaders did an outstanding job leading tours, and it was exciting to see our incoming kindergarteners officially sign on to become Forest Creek Coyotes. We are also so grateful for our amazing staff, parent volunteers, PTA, and district staff who came out to support us today. 💜💚!

Join us on campus – Parents and future kindergarten Coyotes will explore different parts of FCE and learn what a day at school is like. Students will also complete a short readiness assessment to help us understand their current skills. To celebrate their visit, each child will sign a Future Coyote certificate and take a photo with our mascot and principal, Mrs. Flores. Don’t miss out on the fun!

Time: 5:30-7:00

On this evening, parents will meet the Kindergarten teachers and attend an orientation meeting to learn how best to support their student during the upcoming transition! Food Trucks will be available for a bite to eat!

If you think your student would be interested in entering an art contest, please keep reading for detailed info!

RRISD is proud to compete in TEAM each year as a way to celebrate Arts Education and provide students with artistic opportunities for growth. Please see the attached flyer for more information!

I can send 10 pieces of art, so this will be a first come first serve contest!

Please reach out if you have any questions or wish for your student to participate. I will send permission slips as needed!

It’s almost here! The Heart of Round Rock Run is TOMORROW, Saturday, March 7th, at Old Settlers Park, and we’re so excited to see our community come together.

If you haven’t registered yet, there’s still time! You can join us for the 5K or 1 mile run/walk, or lend a hand by volunteering. Every participant makes a difference.

Wear your purple & green and come ready to represent our school! Make sure to stop by our FCE PTA table before or after & say hello!
