What We Offer

Round Rock ISD maintains a Performing Arts Center and a 750-seat high school auditorium at Cedar Ridge and Stony Point high schools. Each facility provides a unique space for Round Rock ISD and the Greater Austin live performance arts community. Events held at the Raymond E. Hartfield Performing Arts Center, Cedar Ridge, and Stony Point high school auditoriums may be subject to the District’s clear bag policy.

Raymond E. Hartfield Performing Arts Center

Main Stage

Our 1500 seat house fronts a 50’ proscenium main stage, with fly system, band/choir shell, computerized projection, and excellent lighting and sound capabilities. Our offstage area provides plenty of room for set storage and is in close proximity to twin chorus-sized dressing rooms with shower facilities, bright make-up mirrors, and show tv monitors. Load-ins are easy to manage through ample rear stage roll-up garage doors. The loading dock will accept two 40’ semis.

Black Box Theatre

For an intimate show, our Black Box Theater will seat 200 comfortably. A flexible seating system allows you to design the total space for stage and house. A wrap-around CYC and Blacks provide the performers with plenty of ‘off-stage’ area. There is easy load with direct stage to street access.

Other Amenities

Other amenities include a more than generous green-room with television monitors and a spacious lobby with generous concession and restroom facilities. Extra tables and chairs for receptions are available.

Cedar Ridge HS Auditorium

The 750-seat auditorium at Cedar Ridge High School features a full stage with rigging, a green room, an orchestra pit and a scenery shop.

Stony Point HS Auditorium

The 750-seat auditorium at Stony Point High School features a full stage with rigging, a green room, an orchestra pit and a scenery shop.

Raymond E. Hartfield

Raymond E. Hartfield

The Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees approved renaming the Round Rock ISD Performing Arts Center the “Raymond E. Hartfield Performing Arts Center” during its Board Meeting on Thursday, September 19, 2013.

Hartfield served on the Board of Trustees from 1994 to 2008 and served as Board President for three years. While on the Board, he championed for construction of the Performing Arts Center as a needed performance venue.

He was also co-chairman of ACCTion 4 Education, a committee focused on bringing Austin Community College to Round Rock. He was active in the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce and was named Citizen of the Year by the group in 2010. Hartfield also served on the boards for the YMCA of Greater Williamson County, Skillpoint Alliance, St. David’s Medical Center–Round Rock and the Texas State University Advisory Board. Hartfield died in June 2012.
