Law Enforcement

Overview

The Law Enforcement program of study teaches CTE learners about the development of, adherence to, and protection of various branches of law. Students will learn how to appropriately and legally respond to breaches in the law according to statutory rules and regulations as well as investigate how and why the breaches occurred.

Academy Endorsement

Complete the prescribed 4 credit course sequence in one of the following Programs of Study in:

Public Services

Available Industry Certifications

Students have the opportunity to earn Industry Based Certifications. These certifications help students stand out in interviews, help students gain confidence in a subject area, and give students valuable experience in preparing for the level of rigor required for industry certification exams they may face in the future.

Non-Commissioned Security Level II

Students who enroll in Practicum in Law have the opportunity to earn these certifications.

II. Law Enforcement I (1 credit)

III. Law Enforcement II (1 credit) OR Correctional Services (1 credit – offered at RRHS only)

IV. Forensic Science (1 credit) OR Practicum in Law, Public Safety, Corrections, & Security (2 credits -* offered at CRHS only*)
