Veterinary Science

Overview

The Veterinary Sciences program of study focuses on the science, research, and business of animals and other living organisms. Students learn how to apply biology and life science to real-world life processes of animals and wildlife, either in laboratories or in the field, which could include a veterinary office, a farm or ranch. Students may also research or diagnose diseases and injuries of animals.

Students have the opportunity to earn Industry Based Certifications. These certifications help students stand out in interviews, help students gain confidence in a subject area, and give students valuable experience in preparing for the level of rigor required for industry certification exams they may face in the future.

Certified Veterinary Assistant

Students who enroll in Practicum in Veterinary Medical Applications have the opportunity to earn this certification.

Elanco Veterinary Medical Applications Certification

Students who enroll in Veterinary Medical Applications have the opportunity to earn this certification.
