Elsa England Elementary welcomed professionals from more than 40 fields on Thursday for its annual Career Day, offering students a hands-on glimpse into future possibilities.
The event featured “Careers on Wheels,” where community helpers and business professionals showcased how they use vehicles and specialized equipment in their work. Other guest speakers—including Superintendent Hafedh Azaiez—shared their career journeys, educational paths and daily routines.
“I was so honored to be invited to come to Career Day and share my story with the kids,” said Azaiez. “It’s always a great day when I can come out and connect with our students.”
Principal Krystall Williams hopes Career Day inspires her students.
“At Elsa England, we want our students to see all the possibilities their future holds,” said Principal Krystall Williams. “Career Day not only helps them connect what they’re learning in school to real-world opportunities, but it also shows them that our community believes in their potential.”
Students across grade levels said they found the experience both informative and inspiring.
“It gives all students an idea of what they want to do and start thinking about their future. It also helps the teachers learn about their kids’ interests,” said Reyansh, a fourth-grader.
Fifth-grader Rhea echoed the sentiment.
“It helps you figure out the job options and the ones that are best for you. And it inspires you to find a job that you like,” she said.
