Superintendent Reports:

1. PTA Report – Round Rock ISD Council of PTAs State of the Council Report

Partner with the district to support Sense of Belonging initiatives and fill the need gaps for student outcomes.
Continuing growth in building a strong community between local PTAs, district leadership, and the community.
Energize, through training and support, local PTA leaders, district leadership, and learning communities.
Membership goal = 19,000. Currently at 14,880 as of December.
Spring Program Dates:
- February 24 – Rally Day
- April 7, 6 p.m. – Reflections Award Ceremony
- April 16, 7:30 a.m. – Superintendent Coffee
- April 23, 5:15 p.m. – Superintendent Tea

2. 2024 Bond Preliminary Schedule Update

The goal is to get as many projects started as soon as possible to avoid escalation of costs. Projects in Round Rock will likely start before those in Austin due to differences in each city’s permitting process.

Year 1 spending is focused on:
Technology and equipment.
Design for larger projects.

- Cedar Ridge High School Addition – Design
- Stony Point High School Addition – Design
- McNeil High School – Next Phase Renovation Design
- Westwood High School – Field Modular Design & Permitting
- Deerpark Middle School Addition – Design
- Berkman Elementary School Addition – Design
- CTE Center – Purchase and Buildout Design

3. RRISD Police Dept. and Student Support Services Update

The Round Rock ISD Police Department is focused on ensuring campus safety, building relationships with students and staff, collaborating with district mental health providers, and partnering with external agencies.
