2024 and 2025 STAAR Score updates

The Texas Education Agency today released district and campus accountability scores for the 2023–24 and 2024–25 school years, and Round Rock ISD has earned an 87 for both years. Seventy-two percent of all campuses received an A or a B, up from 68% in 2024.

“We’re so proud of all our students, staff and their families. Their hard work is clear, and it’s reflected in these strong scores,” said Superintendent Hafedh Azaiez. “We’re going to continue our focus on making sure our students are ready for life after graduation.”

District scores are made up of three domains—Student Achievement, School Progress and Closing the Gaps. High school and district ratings also take into account graduation rates, as well as college, career and military readiness (CCMR) rates.

CCMR data lags one year behind STAAR scores in accountability ratings. The CCMR rate used in the most recent ratings showed a jump to 91%, up 7 percentage points from the previous year’s rating.

In the 2023–24 school year, one campus received an F rating and three received a D. For the most recent school year, the district had two Fs and three Ds.

“Any of our campuses that have received a D or F will receive extra support and coaching to ensure that our students continue to grow and learn,” Azaiez said. “We’re committed to helping all of our students succeed while they’re with us and then once they graduate. That’s the work that has to be done on those campuses.”
