At this week’s Regular Board meeting, district leaders provided a quarterly update on the 2024 Bond program as well as a detailed appendix to the board of trustees. Students and staff at all campuses are benefiting from Year 1 projects that range from water bottle fillers and new furniture to lighting and technology upgrades.
The Spring 2025 Bond Issue of $350 million is funding 442 projects throughout the district. Bond sales and projects are scheduled through the lifetime of the bond, which typically lasts 5 years.
More than 40% of Year 1 projects are in progress (approximately $140 million committed to date).
Ongoing Work:
Stadium LED upgrades at McNeil HS and Cedar Ridge HS.
Staff device refresh pilot at Cedar Ridge HS, Brushy Creek ES and Purchasing/Finance.
Full district rollout begins Spring 2026 and continues through 2026.
Elementary instrument inventory in progress for Spring 2026 purchases.
20 washers and dryers to be installed at nine campuses between Winter Break and Spring Break.
Distinct leaders continue to meet with our architectural partners to envision how the CTE/Spectrum building will be used to facilitate career pathways and educational opportunities for our students.
Completed:
Secondary campuses have received more than 250 instruments.
Elementary furniture refreshes have been completed at four campuses, with another 11 expected to be completed before the start of the spring semester.
Interior LED retrofit lights have been installed at six campuses.
Looking Ahead:
Campus and community celebrations in the spring semester are planned to celebrate the beginning of construction for many of our comprehensive projects.

Board Actions:
At the Nov. 20 regular board meeting, trustees:
Approved the contract for the architect to lead the bond project work at Canyon Vista and Raymond Hartfield PAC.
Approved CMARs for the following bond projects: Bluebonnet ES, Canyon Vista, Cedar Valley MS, CTE/Spectrum, Great Oaks ES, and Support Services Bldg.
Approved the use of bond funds to complete track resurfacing, striping and minor repairs at the following campuses: Canyon Vista MS, Chisholm Trail MS and Cedar Valley MS.
Approved the use of bond funds to purchase seven new vehicles for the Round Rock ISD Maintenance Department. These vehicles are intended to replace eight fleet vehicles that have exceeded their useful life cycle.
