Round Rock ISD’s Director of Custodial Services and Waste Management, Quincy Bland, has been named to the ISSA Emerging Leaders Class of 2025.
The Association for Cleaning and Facility Solutions, ISSA, selected 30 professionals under age 40 from more than 120 nominations for the national honor, which recognizes rising leaders in the cleaning and facility solutions industry.
“I am truly honored and humbled by the recognition for the ISSA Emerging Leader Class of 2025 Award,” said Bland. “This recognition is a reflection of the dedication, passion, and hard work of our custodial teams across Round Rock ISD, who strive every day to create safe, clean, and welcoming learning environments.”
Bland oversees custodial operations across more than 60 district facilities and leads a team of over 350 employees. He has implemented data-driven strategies to improve cleanliness, sustainability, and professional training across the district. He also holds multiple industry certifications, including ISSA’s Certified Professional Trainer and Certified Custodial Supervisor.
He said being acknowledged by ISSA, an international leader in the cleaning and facility solutions industry, inspires him to continue empowering and developing our teams, fostering growth, and encouraging excellence at every level.
“Together, we will continue to lead with purpose, raise the standard of service, and make a lasting impact on our departments, our district, our students, and our community,” said Bland.
District leaders said Bland’s recognition reflects his commitment to creating safe and healthy learning environments for students and staff.
“Quincy is deeply committed to creating safe, clean learning environments for our students and staff,” said Dennis Covington, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Round Rock ISD. “His leadership and vision make a tremendous impact across our school district.”
Bland and the other ISSA Emerging Leaders were recognized Nov. 11 during the ISSA Show in Las Vegas.
