Dear Round Rock ISD Community,
The spring semester is traditionally very busy. Our calendars are full of performances, testing, celebrations, recruitment, and milestones. It's when plans turn into progress, growth takes shape, and goals feel within reach.
Busy, but also meaningful and exciting. Here are some notable district updates and events.
The Round Rock ISD Council of PTAs recently celebrated 50 years of service, marking five decades of volunteer-led support for students, families, and campuses. Since 1975, the Council has strengthened collaboration among local PTAs and now supports 55 campuses by creating meaningful opportunities that enrich campus life. From funding programs and supporting teachers to organizing events and building community connections, PTA members help shape the experience our students have every day.
Whether you can volunteer regularly or lend a helping hand when your schedule allows, there is a place for you. Joining PTA is one of the simplest and most impactful ways to support your child’s school and strengthen our district as a whole. Thank you to our dedicated PTA volunteers who continue to make a lasting difference in our schools and community.
Finally, we celebrate our 140 certified school counselors for National School Counselor Week. From social and emotional well-being to academic and career guidance, our counselors work tirelessly to support every student.

Last week, we opened our employee health and wellness center. The center is a testament to the fact that in Round Rock ISD, we don’t just value our employees for the work they do—we value them as people. Unanimously supported by our Board of Trustees, the center is an investment in the health, longevity, and well-being of the educators and staff who look out for our students.
Our Board of Trustees is hosting four community conversations to gather input as they develop next year’s board goals, and you’re invited to join in person or virtually. The first in-person discussion was held on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at Deerpark Middle School. Additional opportunities to participate include Tuesday, March 10, from 6 to 7 p.m. in person at C.D. Fulkes Middle School, as well as virtual sessions on March 3 from noon to 1 p.m. in English and March 4 from 6 to 7 p.m. in Spanish.
This weekend, Saturday, Feb. 28, Round Rock ISD is hosting two exciting events: the Central Texas Teens and Kids Comic Con at Round Rock High School and the HBCU College Fair at Cedar Ridge High School.
Then on Saturday, Mar. 7, at McNeil IB World High School, families can prepare and support their student with disabilities for life beyond high school at the Destination Life Transition Fair.
These events are free and contribute to the uniqueness of what makes Round Rock ISD a destination district and why families continue to choose our schools year after year.
I hope to see you at these events and that you’re able to enjoy a great weekend with us. If you’re there, please say hello. I’d love to hear about your experiences and share in the passion we have for education.
Respectfully,
Dr. Hafedh "AZ" Azaiez
Proud Superintendent of Schools
