A message from Dr. Hafedh Azaiez, Superintendent of Schools

Dear Round Rock ISD community,

In just a few weeks, we’ll celebrate a new class of graduates ready to take their next steps, whether that’s college, a career, or the armed forces. Their confidence and readiness reflect the collective support behind them. From teachers and administrators to support staff, families, PTA, booster clubs, and community partners, it truly takes all of us working together to help our students succeed.

In honor of Assistant Principal Appreciation Week, I am proud to recognize our exceptional team of assistant principals. Their impact is felt across every campus, supporting students, guiding teachers, managing daily operations, and helping create safe, positive learning environments for all.

This year, we are especially proud to celebrate Blackland Prairie Elementary Leadership Academy’s Assistant Principal, Mandi Vogel, who has been named the 2026 Texas National Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year by the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association. She is recognized for her leadership in strengthening student support systems, enhancing teacher collaboration, and promoting a culture of trust and shared ownership on campus. Congratulations, Ms. Vogel, and thank you to all of our assistant principals for the difference you make every day.

April is also National Library Month, a time to celebrate the incredible impact our librarians have on student success. They inspire a love of reading, support achievement across all grade levels, and help students build the skills they need to thrive in our digital world.

Librarians play a vital role on every campus, collaborating with teachers and creating welcoming, engaging spaces for all. Thank you for the meaningful difference you make in our students’ learning and growth.

On April 1, we opened our 2026–27 Pre-Kindergarten registration for 3- and 4-year-olds, in-district student school transfers, and out-of-district enrollment applications. I believe our schools are the very best Central Texas has to offer. We bring excellence to education by attracting and retaining top teaching talent and providing students with more opportunities than ever to explore their passions, grow academically, and succeed in a supportive, engaging learning environment.

Respectfully,

Dr. Hafedh "AZ" Azaiez
