Jeremy Ferrero has been named as the new principal at Great Oaks Elementary School, starting the 2026-27 school year.
Ferrero has several years of experience in educational administration and teaching. Most recently, he has served as the assistant principal of Grisham Middle School since 2020.
During his time in campus leadership, Ferrero has focused on developing teachers, strengthening high-quality instruction, and building systems that support all learners. Through coaching, collaboration and intentional support, he has worked to create meaningful, rigorous, and inclusive learning experiences for students.
"I am honored and excited to serve as the principal of Great Oaks Elementary,” Ferrero said. “Students need to feel seen, challenged, and supported. When people know they matter, they are more willing to grow, take risks and reach their potential. I look forward to building on the strengths of this great campus and partnering with teachers, students, and families to continue growing together."
He said he believes the strongest schools are built when positive relationships, strong instruction, and a shared commitment to growth come together to support the continued success of the entire learning community.
Before joining Grisham in 2020, Ferrero served in administration roles for three years and as a teacher lead for four years.
"Mr. Ferrero’s commitment to fostering positive relationships and dedication to serving every student will enhance the continued success and growth of the Great Oaks Learning community," said Logan Faris, Round Rock Learning Community area superintendent.
Ferrero holds a bachelor’s degree in theology and communication from Central Bible College in Springfield, MO, and a master’s degree in educational administration from Baylor University. He will join the campus in July.
