Dear Round Rock ISD community,
Every school year is built on the dedication of people who show up each day to support students. Thank you to all the teachers, families, bus drivers, custodians, coaches, counselors, librarians, police officers, nurses, campus staff, social workers, guest educators, administrators, paraprofessionals, technical professionals, volunteers, food service and maintenance staff, and PTA and booster club members who support our students. Your time, care, and commitment make a lasting difference, and I’m deeply grateful for all you do.
Last week, we celebrated employees reaching milestones of 20, 25, 30 and 35 years of service, along with honoring our retirees and the lasting impact they’ve made across our district. Among them are four remarkable school nurses who are retiring after a combined 177 years of service, leaving behind an incredible legacy.

Also, Voigt Elementary Arts Integration Academy celebrated its 50th anniversary, marking five decades of serving families and the community with a tradition of excellence. These milestones remind us that public schools are about more than education. They create connections and lasting impact for generations.

This week, we celebrate and honor the Class of 2026 as they take their next steps. Congratulations to graduates and their families from Cedar Ridge, Early College, McNeil, Round Rock, Stony Point, Success and Westwood high schools. These grads are tomorrow's scientists, educators, artists, developers, musicians, explorers, and leaders. Each brings unique talents that will shape the world in ways we can only begin to imagine. Cheers to the Class of 2026! We are so proud of you.
Even though the school year has ended, our commitment to students and families continues. Our partners in construction are already hard at work to help us ensure our next school year will be even better. As soon as this school year ends, we will begin 2024 Bond work on many campuses throughout the district and continue bringing to life the largest bond our district has ever passed. I invite you to learn more about our summer construction projects and follow along on our social media channels for bond updates throughout the summer.
While crews are preparing our campuses for the future, we’re also continuing to serve students and families this summer. We offer added academic support, plus fun, safe and affordable enrichment opportunities as well as healthy, no-cost meals for children and teens to help ensure no child goes hungry while school is out. Meals are available at multiple Round Rock ISD campuses and are open to all eligible children regardless of income or enrollment in a summer school program. No registration, ID, or proof of residency is required.
One of my favorite parts of writing these letters is reflecting on all that we’ve accomplished together. Our district news stories highlight dozens of examples of the pride and excellence our students and staff achieved this year.
Wishing you a fantastic summer.
