Round Rock ISD has once again been recognized by The NAMM Foundation as one of the Best Communities for Music Education. This is the sixth time the district has earned this national designation.
Now in its 27th year, this award honors school districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in providing access to music and education for all students. Round Rock ISD previously received this recognition in 2018 and 2022-2025.
“This recognition is a testament to our community’s value for music education and our district’s commitment to providing access to high-quality music experiences in our schools. Together, we are working to ensure that every student, regardless of their background or circumstances, has access to high-quality music education,” stated Jager Loyde, the Director of Fine Arts – Music. “We take great pride in being honored again, as it highlights our continuous effort to make music an integral and enriching part of the educational experience for all students.”
To qualify for the designation, districts must submit detailed information about funding, participation, graduation requirements, facilities, and community support for music programs.
Round Rock ISD’s fine arts program includes a wide range of music opportunities for students at all levels, including band, choir, orchestra, and general music instruction.
