Ludivina Cansino has joined Round Rock ISD as the district’s chief financial officer, bringing more than 20 years of leadership experience in Texas public school finance, district operations, bond program oversight, and strategic planning.
Cansino will manage and balance the district’s Maintenance & Operations, Interest & Sinking (bond) and Food Service funds and will oversee the 2024 Bond Program.
“I am honored to join Round Rock ISD,” Cansino said. ”I look forward to serving the students, staff and community.”
Cansino joins the district from Brazosport ISD, where she has served as CFO since 2024. Her role there also included management of the district's bond program and of the Citizens' Oversight Bond Committee. Prior to her time in Brazosport, she served as CFO or CFOO in Del Valle, Flour Bluff and Alice ISDs and as assistant superintendent for business and operations in Donna ISD.
“We are so excited to have Ms. Cansino join our team,” said Superintendent Hafedh Azaiez. “She began in the classroom as a math teacher, and she brings decades of experience on both the finance and operations sides. I know the district’s budget and our bond program are in good hands with her.”
Cansino holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg.
Her first day with the district was July 6.
