Dear Round Rock ISD community,
Our public schools bring people together, create opportunities for students and staff to thrive, and help build a strong foundation for our community. When we invest in public education, we invest in the well-being and growth of our children and the future of our community and our state.
Voting is personal for all of us, often especially those of us who had the opportunity to live outside the U.S. The first vote I cast as an American citizen almost two decades ago is something I still think of today. Casting a ballot is a duty not taken lightly and a privilege not taken for granted.
Your vote matters, and every vote is a chance to support public education. In a time when schools throughout Texas are facing more challenges and greater demands with less state-level support, it’s vital that we all cast our votes for elected officials who will do the hard work of supporting our schools, our educators, our staff and our students.
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. If you’ve already voted, thank you for making your voice heard. If not, please make a plan to vote. To learn more before you vote, the League of Women Voters of Texas offers a voter guide to help you learn about the candidates, understand the issues on your ballot and decide what matters most to you and your family. To find your polling location, please visit the Travis County or Williamson County elections websites. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about the choices before you. Your voice helps shape the policies and priorities that affect our schools, our neighborhoods and our shared future.
Respectfully,
Dr. Hafedh "AZ" Azaiez
Proud Superintendent of Schools
