Dear Round Rock ISD Community,
Our district leads the way in offering students hands-on programs that open doors to their future. From earning college credit in high school to gaining real-world training in fields like welding, auto tech, semiconductors, health sciences, robotics, culinary arts and more. These programs offer students free industry-based certifications, Advanced Placement, dual-credit courses, and work-based learning opportunities that position our graduates with skills that set them apart in an ever-changing world.
We proudly partner with Austin Community College, Texas State Technical College, the Texas Workforce Commission, and the Round Rock and Austin Chambers of Commerce. Together, we’re thinking globally—Infusing real-world applications into our classrooms, shaping higher education, and preparing our students as members of our next-generation workforce. Here are a few examples:
Our construction technology classes at Cedar Ridge High School teach the practical skills and knowledge needed for building and construction careers. We blend classroom theory with extensive hands-on experience.
The Drone Aviation program teaches students Unmanned Aerial Vehicle flight navigation, industry law and regulations, and safety regulations.
By taking part in our P-TECH program, students can graduate with their diploma and an associate of science degree at no cost, preparing them for a career as a licensed vocational nurse.
We were invited to The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area’s Breakfast Club to discuss the power of collaboration in supporting students from Pre-K through graduation and beyond.
Our role as a statewide leader in student achievement and workforce readiness is underscored by the Career and Technical Education Association of Texas naming Round Rock ISD as a Career and Technical Education District of Distinction. This honor recognizes the hard work and innovation of our CTE teachers and leaders, and their dedication to preparing students for success.
Together, we’re building stronger schools, brighter futures, and a more connected community.
Respectfully,
Dr. Hafedh "AZ" Azaiez
Proud Superintendent of Schools
