A message from Dr. Hafedh Azaiez, Superintendent of Schools

Dear Round Rock ISD community,

We have been doing a lot of celebrating lately.

Recently, the Round Rock Historic Preservation Commission honored the district as a Local Legend. This recognition celebrates not only remarkable people, but also the places, organizations and institutions that have left a lasting mark on the culture, development and history of Round Rock.

Even more big news!
- Our schools are earning national acclaim, with several campuses earning top rankings in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Elementary and Middle Schools list.

- Our students led the state in National Merit Scholarship semifinalists, with more than 100 students being recognized for their outstanding academic achievements.

We couldn’t do it without you. The support of our families, staff, business partners and volunteers makes all the difference, and this season of gratitude is the perfect time to say a heartfelt thank you.

Because of our community’s shared commitment to elevating education, a year after voters approved the historic 2024 Bond, projects that strengthen safety and optimize learning environments are in motion throughout the district.

Check out these videos highlighting just a fraction of the exciting work happening in our schools and facilities as part of the 2024 Bond program!

Next week, staff and students will enjoy a well-deserved Fall Break. Celebrations, traditions and expressions of gratitude look different for everyone, and however you choose to celebrate, I hope you enjoy quality time with family and friends and create lasting memories.

With my own family, we’ll enjoy spending time with parents, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins, blending favorite dishes from our families’ cultures.

Let’s continue striving for excellence together and leave a lasting, positive impact on the world. It starts with us!
